Anadol rugs and carpets are handmade by semi-nomadic tribes who live along the Anatolian Mediterranean coast. Wool and locally produced natural dyes are used in their weaving. Predominant colours used are bright red, dark blue, beige, caramel and to a lesser degree white. The designs used have representation of flowers, ears of grain and stylized animal and human figures. These bold oriental tribal designs will inspire a variety of interiors – from traditional and contemporary to south western decors.
