These high quality Gabbeh tribal rugs are hand made with extra high pile and very simple, stylized designs focused on the use of vibrant earthy colors. Gabbeh are constructed from local handspun sheep wool and vegetal dyes. The irregularities in the dyestuff and hand spun wool result in a collage of similar hues, which gives Gabbeh their rich texture. Their lustrous soft wool, multi hued colors and tribal motifs make them great decorative rugs, especially in informal modern settings.
