Every year ushers in a new crop of styles, and 2019 is no different. Today, we’re counting down the year’s top rug and carpet trends.

Jute

From a focus on all things green to sustainable fabrics, the eco-conscious look is going strong this year. These natural-looking rugs, made from renewable fibers, are popping up all over Pinterest in dining rooms, entryways, living rooms and more.

Layering

Jute is the perfect intro to this next trend: the low-pile rugs form the perfect foundation to try the layered look. Of course, you won’t want to layer, say, two Persian rugs one on top of the other; instead, opt for two different sizes and textures to create richness and depth.
