Vintage Beni Ourain rugs are hand woven by the Berber tribes from the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Featuring a beautiful lush pile of natural undyed wool, variegated lozenge pattern and playful pops of color, these tribal rugs are a captivating vision of woven beauty. The symbols found on each Beni Ourain rug served a quasi-magical and religious purpose in preserving life. Feminine symbols include the chevron, the lozenge and the X-shape while male symbols took the form of long straight lines usually found on the outer portions of the rug. Typically, the male and female symbols are woven side-by-side or linked with one another to represent the reproductive unity. Vintage Beni Ourain rugs provide designers and homeowners with timeless, unique and functional works of art for the modern-day home. This vintage Beni Ourain rug has been professionally cleaned. Any natural inconsistencies and age-related wear are inherent in these unique, handmade Moroccan rugs.

Like most things, our rugs require regular maintenance in order to last as long as possible. This includes periodic vacuuming and rotation.
If spills occur, blot immediately. Use common wool cleaning detergent to remove stains. For extreme spills and stains, we recommend professional cleaning. For more information, read our After Care.

We offer free returns for all customers in the US, Canada and Europe. To qualify for a free return:
- Your returned item must be your first return with ECARPETGALLERY. If this isn’t your first return, you will be charged a restocking fee for this item.
- Request your return within 7 days of receiving your item
- One item per order is eligible for a free return. If you wish to return multiple items from the same order, you will be charged a restocking fee for the other items
- You are returning from US, Canada, UK and Europe
Should your item not be eligible for a free return, then you will be charged a restocking fee for the return. The restocking fee is determined based on 20% of the item’s price (before applicable taxes) or $150.00 maximum charge. (For example: a purchase of $400 will incur a restocking fee of $80 and a purchase of $1000 will incur a restocking fee of $150).
