Density (KPSI)
KPSI (knots per square inch) refers to the density of a rug and is used to determine its quality. Similar to the pixels on a TV, the more pixels (knots) in a given area, the clearer and sharper the image. Not only do more knots compressed into a square inch improve the intricacy and clarity of the design, it equally increases the durability of the rug as the knots are finely and tightly packed.
