Description
Splendid piece of work that is woven in India with a re-interpretation of village Persian designs. This Persian Style Gabbeh is rendered in no way inferior by the fact that its extra high pile, simple design and vibrant earthy colors are copied from the famous Persian Kashkuli Gabbeh rug. The irregularities in the dyestuff and handspun wool result in a collage of similar hues which gives this Kashkuli Gabbeh its typical rich texture.
